2. Our Friday:
Sabbath continues and Jesus is in his tomb. All is quiet; it is Sabbath. At our 6pm Sabbath ends and the first of the week starts. The SECOND DAY ended. It is dark, so nobody goes to the graves.
3. Our Sunday:
Early in the morning some women go to the tomb to attend to Jesus' body only to find that he had risen from the dead. (Luke 24:1) So we have a few hours of the THIRD DAY.

Also some English editions include a collection of non-canonical documents, which collection is termed "The Apocrypha".

Those who have entered the Way of Life and are persisting in the pursuit of Sanctification are in the process of being saved. However, not everyone who enters the Way of Life perseveres in the Way unto the end, which is death.

A man cannot lose that which he does not possess. No man possesses Salvation until the day of the Resurrection; and once resurrected, a man cannot lose his Salvation. The justified include Adam and the Woman, Abel, Seth, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, all of the Justified of Israel of the previous era, and all of the justified who live in the present Christian era.

(11) Protestant Theology accords to the so-called "Old-Testament Saints" a resurrection status which is inferior to the status of the "Christian". But that teaching is false. The Justified or Redeemed constitute a single body, namely, the figurative Body of the Christ; in that body there is no division. All of the justified who have died, irrespective of historical epoch, today lie in the grave, awaiting resurrection. For my guess or interpretation, (Mark 2:16vs27) Jesus said the Sabbath was made for the good of human beings, they were not made for Sabbath.

The concept of "sacred" or "holy" names for the Lord God originates in Talmudic Judaism; it is a mystical concept which is not Christian.

Mysticism plays a large role in Talmudism, which is to say, Talmudic Judaism. Some suppose that the efficacy of prayer and praise depends upon correct pronunciation of the so-called "sacred name". And one legend has it that the Talmudic Jew considered the "sacred name" too sacred to pronounce or write, so he substituted the term "Adonai", which supposedly has the same Ancient Hebrew consonants as does the "sacred name". But the concept of a name too sacred to pronounce or write is absurd; and the legend fails to explain how knowledge of a name too sacred to pronounce or write was transmitted from one generation of Israelite to the next.

There is no general agreement as to the spelling or pronunciation of the sacred name, and opinion changes from one generation to the next and from one ethnicity to another. Just within the English-speaking populace of the world, there have been numerous variants of spelling and pronunciation. At one time, "Jehovah" was in vogue; more recently, the fashion is for "Yahweh". "Yahoo" is another of the many variants.

But all such variants have to do with the Hebrew language, which today survives only in the form of the Masoretic Hebrew Text, which is a forgery of the Ancient Hebrew Text. Today there is no extant manuscript of Scripture written in Ancient Hebrew; all Scripture which has survived to the present day is written in the Koine dialect of Greek.

The Protestant concept of Hypostatic Union is not taught by the Scripture. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith, saying, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The passage proceeds to cite Scriptural accounts of instances of faith.

I. The Faith which is enjoined in the Scripture is confidence in the word of the Lord God. The Scripture repeatedly cites the faith of Abraham as the exemplar of faith. Not until Abraham and Sarah were hopelessly past the physiological point of reproductive ability, did the Lord God promise Abraham that his seed would be in number as the stars of the heaven, Genesis 15:1-6. Abraham had confidence in the promise of the Lord God, and for that reason the Lord reckoned Abraham righteous.

It is the good pleasure of the Lord God to grant justification to those who place confidence in his word. And to place confidence in the word of the Lord is to place confidence in the Lord himself; consider Psalm 138:2. Abraham was justified, not because he "accepted Jesus as his personal saviour," but, rather, because Abraham had confidence in the promise of the Lord regarding progeny.

Consider Hebrews 11:6, which explains, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

The one who diligently seeks the Lord is led by the Lord to the Scripture, from which he learns how to enter the Way of Life. Once in the Way, he seeks the Lord through the pursuit of sanctification. The Lord does not welcome into his family any save those who trust him and diligently pursue relationship with him.

Our understanding of the Scripture has been impeded greatly by the slipshod contemporary usage of the English words faith, hope, and belief. Faith is not unfounded expectation that somehow something shall come to pass. Hope is not desire. Belief is not notion based on hearsay. In actuality, faith, hope, and belief are synonymous with confidence and trust; each of these words has the same essential meaning, namely, expectation founded upon a trustworthy basis.

The promises and declarations of the Lord are sure. The Lord God has the ability to do all that he has said that he shall do, and the Lord is faithful to his word. Accordingly, faith is an attitude of mind or certainty which views as tantamount to reality that which is promised by the Lord God. Consider Romans 4:17, "(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were."

And, indeed, the things promised which lie in the future, though not yet extant, together with the things of the Realm of the Spirit, though invisible, have a reality which transcends that of the things of the Natural Realm which are extant, visible, and tangible. The Gospel accounts commonly are recommended as a starting point. The Gospel Account of Luke, together with the Book of Acts (also written by Luke) were penned as a chronological introduction to the end-time fulfillment of the prophecies of the Scripture having to do with the Incarnation. The Gospel Account commonly attributed to John (in actuality, the Gospel Account of Lazarus) views the Incarnation from another standpoint.

However, the Gospel accounts assume a basic familiarity with the Scripture, and that familiarity is difficult to gain without benefit of an instructor. The Lord, Christ Jesus, has provided men with the gift of Shepherd to guard and guide and feed the sheep.

As is the case with most fields of understanding, apprehension of the Scripture is regenerative in nature: the greater your familiarity with the Scripture as a whole, the deeper your understanding of a particular passage. The Scripture is like a giant jigsaw puzzle; the greater your familiarity with the pieces, the more rapidly you are going to be able to fit them together.

For the Scripture, one of the greatest aids to familiarization is an audio recording. Alexander Scourby, a legendary narrator, years ago narrated the Bible for publication by Reading for the Blind. Scourby recorded only the King James Version, which is far from the best translation; but Scourby has a voice to which one can listen for hours on end without growing weary of the sound. Narration of the English Bible requires roughly sixty to seventy hours.

With the Bible available in the form of mp3 files and the availability of inexpensive battery-powered devices (including many cellular phones) which can playback mp3 files through the radio of an automobile, you can make it a habit to listen to the Bible whenever you are in the car for more than a short trip. Listening during the commute to work -- one hour a day, five days a week -- takes you through the Bible four times a year.

You are not going to know by heart the "lay of the land" until you have listened to a reading of the complete Bible a dozen times. Eventually you are going to reach the point at which, listening to a passage in the Book of Romans, you recall hearing something similar in the Prophecy of Isaiah or in the Prophecy of Hosea. From that point onward, you begin seeing correlations to which other students of the Scripture are blind, correspondences which even devout and respected commentators have failed to notice. Sadly, the man appears never to have apprehended the declaration of Christ Jesus, that the Scripture is a coherent whole, no part of which may be set aside, John 10:35. And he appears never to have read though the passages of Hosea, Ezekiel, and Isaiah from which Paul constantly is quoting, or the Psalms, which Jesus cites time and time again. The sheep who have been under the care of this man are malnourished, and their understanding of the Scripture is far from complete.

Once you have read through the Book of Psalms a few times, you shall see that the Lord God preserved the Psalms in order that his people might have examples for prayer, and pure and meaningful lyrics with which to worship him. And you are going to have difficulty singing the songs found in the Protestant hymnal, for you shall start noticing the abundance of absurd and nonsensical lyrics, and the frequent contradictions with the Scripture.

It is in the Church, in the present era of the Reign of the Christ, that the prophecies of the reunification of Israel are fulfilled.

A number of passages speak of the cornerstone -- the stone which is the "head of the corner." The cornerstone unites two walls of a structure; see Isaiah 28:16, Matthew 21:42, Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17, Acts 4:11, I Peter 2:7. Christ Jesus is the Cornerstone; in him are united the wall which is the Southern Kingdom and the wall which is the Northern Kingdom.

In his epistle to the Ephesians, Paul speaks of the "middle wall of partition" which Jesus has broken down; in this analogy, the wall portrays the animosity which separates the descendants of the two Kingdoms.

The Papal system has several appellations, among them the Papacy, the Church of Rome, the Roman Catholic Church, and Roman Catholicism, the term "catholic" meaning universal. The wickedness and blasphemy of the Papal system is without parallel. Fundamentally, the Papal system is a counterfeit of the true Church. The purpose of the Papal system is subversion of the Christian Faith.

I. A COUNTERFEIT WITH A SHAMEFUL HERITAGE PASSED TO ITS PROGENY

Stupidly proud of the shameful labels "Protestant" and "Judeo-Christian," Protestants generally are ignorant of the debauched pedigree of Papistry and are ignorant of the degree to which the Protestant Faith shares that pedigree.

The Papal system was forged during the Apostolic era by the Talmudic Jew, who always has been and always shall be the great enemy of Christ Jesus, of the Church, and of the Christian Faith. Properly understood, the prefix "Judeo" means "Talmudic." Talmudic Judaism is a gross and hideous perversion of the Faith of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. There is nothing "Judeo" about the Christian Faith. Indeed, the Christian Faith and the Faith of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob are one and the same.

It is vital to apprehend the fact that the Protestant Faith is not the Christian Faith. Even as Papistry is an offshoot of Talmudic Judaism, so also Protestantism is an offshoot of Papistry; all three are forgeries which share essential doctrine. The Anglican Church (the Church of England, Anglican meaning English) is nothing other than the twin sister of Church of Rome, with the King of England in the role corresponding to that of the Pope.

In his wisdom, the Lord God allowed the Talmudic Jew to devise and implement the Papal system. The intent of the Jew in creating the system was to subvert the Christian Faith; but the Lord utilizes Papistry as an instrument of judgment upon those who reject the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.

II. THE MAN OF SIN, THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY, & STRONG DELUSION

In his second epistle to the Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul speaks of the "Man of Sin" and the "Mystery of Iniquity," saying that the Mystery of Iniquity already is operating. Paul speaks also of a restraint upon the Mystery of Iniquity, adding that the identity of the restraint is known to the Thessalonians, and saying that the restraint eventually is to be removed. Finally, Paul says that, to those who receive not the love of the truth, the Lord God sends strong delusion, so that they believe the lie and are damned. The truth to which Paul refers is the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.

While contemporary commentators generally interpret the Scripture according to the fantastic Dispensational scheme of Scofield, devout and competent commentators of previous generations, lacking the guidance of Scofield and his Reference Bible, commonly construed the Man of Sin as the Pope and the Mystery of Iniquity as the Church of Rome.

The aptness of the term "iniquity" in the appellation "Mystery of Iniquity" is apparent from secular history, which records the merciless persecution of the true Church by the Papacy. A great number of Christians have been tortured and murdered by the Church of Rome; not a few of them have been burned alive at the stake, some receiving the "mercy" of being strangled to death before the fire was ignited. John Foxe, in his "Book of Martyrs," documents many instances of torture and murder of the Christian at the hand of the Papist. The barbaric cruelty of the Papal institution is part of its Talmudic heritage.

III. THE FALSE APOSTLE JAMES OF JERUSALEM

A careful reading of the epistles of Paul and of the Book of Acts reveals that the leader, James, of the Christian assembly at Jerusalem is a false Apostle who constantly is working to subvert the Christian Faith. Commentators commonly refer to this James as "James of Jerusalem"; he obviously is James, the half-brother of Christ Jesus, Matthew 13:55. When James is seen in the Scripture, his behaviour is that which one might expect of a prototype of the Pope.

James of Jerusalem maintained in Jerusalem a pack of zealot Talmudic thugs; with these, James successfully intimidated Peter and the other Apostles, with the exception of Paul. Paul alone withstood James, doing so at a terrible price. The teaching of Scofield and the teaching of the contemporary Protestant Pulpit notwithstanding, it is evident that Paul himself is the restraint which he mentions in his letter to the Thessalonians; not until Paul was taken away by death was the Papal system able to blossom and become dominant.

The role of Paul as the restrainer being obvious, James repeatedly dispatched thugs to assault Paul. Clearly, James is the "messenger of the Adversary" who Paul terms a "thorn in the flesh." On one occasion, the thugs of James battered Paul so severely as to dislodge the eyeballs of Paul from their sockets; it appears that the attackers left off beating Paul only because their victim appeared to be dead; consider Galatians 4:13-15. In all probability, this attempt of James and company to murder Paul is the occasion of the vision of which Paul speaks in II Corinthians chapter 12. Paul indeed may have died in that beating, being revived directly by Lord Jesus; he himself is not sure whether he was dead or unconscious when he experienced the vision, II Corinthians 12:2.

IV. A DRAMATIC CHANGE OF SCENE

It is the structure of the Papal system, rather than its error, which makes it so deadly. In the Papal system, an earthly authority is dominant over local assemblies. Such an architecture militates against the correction of error. By the design of the Lord Christ, each local assembly of his Church is to be independent, governed by a Shepherd who answers directly and exclusively to the Lord.

The fact that the Papal system, though in a primitive state, was operational before the end of in the Apostolic era is seen in the activity and behaviour of James of Jerusalem. In particular, in a formal meeting in which Apostles including Paul were present, James had the presumption not only to chair the meeting, but also, at the conclusion of the meeting, to direct that a dictum be issued in the name of the assembly to the local assemblies, Acts 15:13-31. Commentators of previous generations have expressed their astonishment at the brazen usurpation of authority by James, who dared dictate to the very Apostles. The fact that Paul did not then and there denounce James and pronounce a curse upon the usurper is explained by the revelation which Paul received from the Lord regarding the Mystery of Iniquity and the Man of Sin; Paul understood that the will of the Lord Jesus was to permit the treachery of James against the Church. Nonetheless, Paul understood that it also was the will of the Lord that he, Paul, continue to resist and expose the machinations of James.

Following the death of Paul, the Papal system rapidly grew in scope and strength, soon resulting in a dramatic transformation in the visible Church. One historian likens the transition to the change of scene in a theatrical production. The curtain of history falls upon a Church comprised of independent local assemblies, each under the care of a Shepherd who answers only to the Great Shepherd, Christ Jesus. When the curtain of history is raised a century later, the visible Church is a hierarchical structure in which the Shepherds of several local assemblies are under the authority of an overseer, and several overseers are under the authority of a superior, and so forth. Eventually the edifice was crowned with the office of Pope.

At that point, the true Church still is in existence, is invisible to historians, for it has been driven underground, out of sight, for the counterfeit is bent upon annihilation of the genuine. One sign of the true Church is that, in describing itself, it stops with the appellation "Christian"; any qualifier beyond the designation "Christian" is an indication that something is amiss. Even as in Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, so also in Christ there is neither Baptist nor Presbyterian; Christ is not divided, I Corinthians 1:13.

V. THE PROTESTANT REFORMATION -- A FOOL'S ERRAND

Protestant teachers assert that, over a span of roughly fourteen centuries, the Church fell into error, and remained in error until the flames of the Protestant Reformation were kindled by Martin Luther. But such an assertion accords legitimacy to the Papal institution. Curiously, the same teachers, looking at the current error within Protestantism, argue that the Reformation is incomplete, and should be re-kindled.

But such assertions regarding centuries of error are blasphemous; the Lord Jesus does not abandon his sheep, allowing generation after generation to stumble blindly in error. The simple fact of the matter is that the Papal institution is illegitimate and never was in possession of the truth. Moreover, that which is illegitimate (which is to say, that which is not of the Lord), the Lord is not going to "reform." The sheep which are mired in the false doctrines of Papistry have not been abandoned by Jesus, for they are not his sheep, nor is the Lord God their father; they are of the same category as the Talmudic Jews who opposed the incarnate Christ Jesus; consider John chapter 8.

The Protestant Reformers were not successful in reforming the great whore of Papistry, for they set out on a Fool's Errand. In the first place, the Lord God does not reform false religions; rather, the Lord commands his people to come out and be separate, after which he destroys that which is false. In the second place, the Scripture plainly declares that the destiny of the whore is destruction, which shall take place at the coming of Jesus to resurrect the Justified. The Reformers should have separated themselves from the Papal institution and sought out assemblies of the true Church; instead, the Reformers stupidly served in the role of midwife, assisting the whore in giving birth to a number of daughters, namely, the Protestant denominations of the present day.

And though the Protestant does not directly venerate the Pope as the vicar of Christ, yet he does give such veneration indirectly:

(1) Abnegating his responsibility to ascertain for himself the canonicity of documents which purport to be Scripture, the Protestant places his trust in the pronouncements of the so-called "Church Councils." Because of this combination of nonfeasance and misplaced trust, the Protestants generally venerate as canonical several books which have no rightful place in the Canon of Scripture. The books are the Book of Esther, the Book of James, the Book of Revelation, the Book of Jude, and the Second Book of Peter. The Protestant Faith rests to a large degree on the false teaching of these spurious books.

(2) Papistry holds to many fantastic and absurd concepts which ultimately have their origin in Talmudic Judaism. Rather than diligently searching the Scripture in order to challenge and demolish those false concepts, the Protestant has embraced them and has founded his Faith upon them. Thus it is that concepts such as fallen angels, the immortal Soul, everlasting torture in Hell, and conscious existence after death, apart from the Resurrection are fundamental to the Protestant Faith.

In 1 John 3:9, it says that whosoever is born of God does not commit sin because his seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

This is not telling us that we will never sin or cannot commit acts of sin.

Studying the NT scripture from the original language, I come to understand that this is telling me that I can no longer live a lifestyle of sin because I now have God’s Spirit living inside of me preventing that from happening.

In the Greek text, where it tells us that the believer does not commit sin or does not sin, it denotes a continuous action.

As believers, we still commit acts of sin. However, we no longer live a lifestyle of sin as we did prior to receiving Christ because He has given us His Spirit and it is His Spirit that dwells in us that keeps us from sinning (Continuously).

The word abide in this verse means to remain, to abide, or to stay. It is the word Meno in Greek and it denotes permanency.

God’s Spirit is permanently abiding in us and He keeps us from sinning (continuously sinning).

Interesting question that leads me to a pressing issue that the God of our creation and the Lord of our salvation has been laying on me for some time now.

That being that man, today thinks that the word of God is made up of a bunch of numbered "versus." It is not. It is instead letters, instruction, parables, etcetera and should be looked at in that manner alone. Scripture quoted without context leads to many errors in teaching and understanding.It was put into a chapter and verse number form to make it easier for us who do not memorize or study it enough to really know it, so the teacher/preacher/pastor/etc can say "turn with me to..." and we can find of what he will tell us about easily. In a few places, chapter breaks are poorly placed and as a result divide content that should flow together. Overall, though, the chapter and verse divisions are very helpful.

This "dividing up" was first done about 1227 AD by Stephen Langton, an Archbishop of Canterbury. The Wycliffe English Bible of 1382 was the first Bible to use this chapter pattern, to the best of my limited knowledge. Since the Wycliffe Bible, nearly all Bible translations have followed Langton's chapter divisions. The Hebrew Old Testament was divided into verses by a Jewish rabbi by the name of Nathan in A.D. 1448. Robert Estienne, who was also known as Stephanus, was the first to divide the New Testament into standard numbered verses, in 1555. Stephanus essentially used Nathan's verse divisions for the Old Testament. Since that time, beginning with the Geneva Bible, the chapter and verse divisions employed by Stephanus have been accepted into nearly all the Bible versions.

The style of written Greek has changed over the centuries. Some old Greek letters differ greatly in appearance from the corresponding modern letters. Moreover, Greek originally did not have upper and lower case characters. Also, Greek originally was written without spaces between words.

The original Greek manuscripts of Scripture, which are termed "autographs," no longer are extant; but we have copies of complete manuscripts and fragments of manuscripts which were made as early as the Third Century of the present Christian Era.

In some instances, a copyist making a copy of an old manuscript would transcribe the manuscript into a newer style of Greek letters, rather than reproducing the manuscript in the old style letters, much as someone using a typewriter would transcribe a very old handwritten document.

And in copying, he might render with upper and lower case letters a manuscript written in a single case. Moreover, he might add spaces between the words of a manuscript written without spaces. In doing this, the copyist would use his judgment as to which words to capitalize and how to parse a sentence into words.

Eventually, a translator creates an English rendition of a Greek manuscript. The translator typically uses his judgment as to whether a given word should be capitalized. For example, he may write "Scripture" instead of "scripture" or "Lord" instead of "lord".

However, some capitalization is a matter of standard English practice or a matter of standard publishing practice. Thus, descriptive terms such as "godly" and "godliness" should not be capitalized.

Also, publishers of English Bibles have developed various systems regarding the names of God which appear in the Masoretic Hebrew Text, in an attempt to communicate to the reader the corresponding Masoretic Hebrew term. In such systems terms such as "Lord" and "LORD" represent different Masoretic Hebrew words.

The reader of a translation needs to recognize the fact that, even with the Scripture, copies and translations are subject to error. Ultimately, the factor which provides the correct understanding of a passage is the indwelling Spirit of God in the Christian reader.

The term "Eternal Life" is a misnomer, for the adjective "eternal" implies life which is inherent, having neither inception nor termination. With respect to mankind, a proper designation is "Life Everlasting." Moreover, it is fitting to capitalize the term "Life Everlasting," for, being much more than mere animation, Life Everlasting is a privileged status which is imparted through the Resurrection Out From the Dead. In other words, Life Everlasting is a sphere of existence into which one enters by means of the Resurrection. Specifically, Life Everlasting is the sphere of existence of those who, by the Resurrection, are born into the family of God as Sons.

To clarify: Note that, though an Angel cannot die, the life of an angelic creature is imparted at the time the angel is created; no Angel possesses "Life Everlasting." And it hardly needs to be pointed out that the Protestant concepts of the Immortal Soul and Everlasting Torture in Hell are fallacious; man is a chemical organism which at birth is animated by a divinely-imparted Spirit of Life.
